A Christmas choral reading/reader script about the gift-bringers in America, Canada, England, Holland, Sweden, Italy, and Iceland. These countries were chosen because the stories and legends of their gift-bringers are so colorful and varied!

DID YOU KNOW that in Iceland, thirteen Yuletide Lads bring gifts to children and also play nasty tricks on them? Did you know that, in Holdand, Sintirklass leaves the gifts, but bad children are sometimes chased by Black Peter with a stick? Did you know that, in Sweden, St. Lucia's Day is celebrated by a girl dressed in a white dress with a red sash around her waist and a crown of lights on her head?

CHORAL READING AND SOLO READ-ALOUD PARTS
For Intermediate Readers. The 6 verse script features both prose and poetry sections, including a repetitive ALL Choral Reading Chorus and solo read-aloud parts for 6 to 36 readers, depending on the size and needs of your classroom. 10 pages in length

EASY TO SHORTEN OR LENGTHEN
If you find 6 verses too long for your purposes, you can easily skip a county or two. Students will read the ALL CHORUS, then skip to the whatever verse is appropriate. If you want to add a county, ask your students to create their own 4 line introductory poem for the new county, then research and create 6 new prose lines for the new country. The ALL CHORUS remains the same throughout.
