CH-51 THE CHRISTMAS STAR

This is a story-poem choral reading/speaking script formatted for your elementary school or church voice choir.
A proud star tells about that special night long ago when he/she was given the job of shining brightly above a lowly stable. The star describes what happened on that night of nights: the birth of a baby, the angels, the shepherds and their sleepy sheep, the Wise Men, and even King Herod! All, of course, is described from the star's point of view. The piece ends:
ALL GIRLS: I had the greatest job on earth,
As heavenly guide to a baby’s birth!
So celebrate! Dance! Tap a toe!
SOLO READER: (Even stars have rhythm, you know!),
ALL SOLO READERS: We’ll raise our voices, shout and sing:
ALL: Glory to the newborn King!

The reading lines are shared by ALL GIRLS, ALL BOYS, ALL, and a number of SOLO READERS. The total number of readers used can be adjusted and is flexible. The script is just the right length to be included in a short Christmas program performance or during church service.
Script length: 6 1/2 pages. For sample pages, please click HERE.
