CH.RT-54 IF YOU WON'T BE MY VALENTINE

A Combination Choral Reading/Readers Theater Script for Intermediate Readers.

If you won't be my Valentine, what will I do? This script explores all those many possibilities: Cause a scene, go beyond the extreme, pine and whine, not feel fine, fidget, frown and fuss, mope, not cope, fight and bite? The list goes on and on. In the end, the problem is solved by one of the wise and more realistic solo readers. If you won't be my Valentine, I'll just have to find somebody else! What a concept! A tongue-in-cheek look at finding just the right Valentine.

This script is formatted for 11 SOLO READERS, ALL GIRLS, ALL BOYS, and ALL. The script is very flexible and allows a director to use as few or as many readers as required by dividing the reading parts between all available readers. If the class is small, double up on solo parts. If the class is large, everyone can be included in the ALL GIRL, ALL BOY, ALL lines.

There are also optional lines for an OFFSTAGE VOICE. If you decide to include these lines, they might be assigned to a popular teacher or well-known person from your school.  The reader is never seen, but the voice should be clearly heard over a sound system.
